With deepest sad receiving news that Academician WU ZHENG-YI has just passed away at the age of 97. Since the sixties of last century Wu Zheng-Yi is the outstanding teacher, esteemed botanist, beloved mentor of many generations of Vietnamese botanists. For me, personally for the first time I had the rarest, lucky opportunity to work with him as assisstant during his 3 months visit to Vietnam to collect specimens. I would like to send my condolence to his family, friends and KIB.
